Under the patronage of HRH Princess Alia Tawfiq Tabbaa, Nabad opens a solo exhibition of works by Venezuelan artist Fausto Borge, on Monday 9 February 2015 at 6:00 pm. The mixed media works on display are organic and highly textured, suggesting forms drawn from nature. According to the artist, his work is inspired by “the elementary components and forces underlying the dynamics of the universe. This is why my work is simultaneously ordered and chaotic….” Born in Costa Rica in 1950, Fausto Borge studied Engraving under intaglio printmaking master, Krishna Reddy, at New York University; and Painting at the Arts Students League of New York from 1980 to 1983. He also holds a Certificate in Aesthetics from the University of Bordeaux. Since 1982, Borge has held solo exhibitions in Bordeaux and Bayonne, France, and in Caracas, Venezuela, and has participated in several group exhibitions in the USA, France and Venezuela. Fausto Fernández Borge is currently the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Jordan.
