"My artwork is essentially centered on the research of light, transparency, marks and imprints, colours, lines and textures. My paintings are inspired by jazz music and strive to possess their own musicality. Moreover, they speak of a passage between the interior and the exterior. They should be understood as suggestions rather than as obligations and certainties.
My train of thought has taken me to painting on steles [sculpted, inscribed stone or wooden pillars], in order to pursue and establish a real dialogue between these ‘sculptures' and my paintings."
