A native of Barcelona, Spain, Clara Amado studied drawing, painting, graphic arts and mural painting in Barcelona, Mexico and Italy. She has held 21 solo exhibitions in Spain, Mexico, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan and has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Her works are found in museums in Spain as well as in the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. Since her arrival in Jordan, Clara Amado has been creating artworks that depict the beauty of Jordanian natural landscapes. She collects the sands of Petra and Wadi Rum and uses them, with other natural pigments, to celebrate the aesthetic qualities of Jordan, which remains the primary source of her artistic inspiration.
