Jeanne al-Mufti is a painter, an interior designer and a self-taught photographer. She obtained an M.A. in Art History from the University of Geneva in 1986, and later earned a degree in Interior Design from the Center for Classical Studies in Geneva in 1989, practising as an interior designer in Geneva, and later in Amman.
Mufti studied painting with renowned Jordanian painters Mohanna Durra and Aziz Ammoura, and with Dasha Fomisheva. Since 2003, she has held a number of solo exhibitions and has taken part in group shows in Jordan. One of Mufti’s works, “Petra, the New Seven Wonders of the World,” was featured on a Jordanian stamp in 2007. She is mentioned on a commemorative plaque for her participation in redesigning part of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. Mufti currently lives and works in Jordan.
