SHEREEN AL OURAN

Jordanian artist Shereen Al Ouran obtained her Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Jordan and studied Fine Art in Morocco. Her work is mainly expressionistic, portraying her thoughts, feelings and ideas through figures and strong colors, putting in question stereotypes and conventions. She participated in different workshops and symposiums and exhibited her work in Kuwait, Morocco, Jordan, Germany and Austria.

Shereen’s architectural background and living abroad created her love for cities, with particular affection for Amman and other Jordanian cities. Their topography and distinctive overlapping buildings are depicted by the artist in a deliberately exaggerated way. Strong colors are used to reflect the vibrancy and diversity of its residents
