Born in Jordan in 1974, Juman Nimri obtained a B.A. in Fine Arts at Yarmouk University in Jordan (1996). She has attended several printmaking workshops in Bangladesh, Spain, Switzerland and Jordan. Nimri has shown her work at the 5th International Cairo Ceramics Biennale (2000), the 4th International Cairo Graphics Biennale (2003) and Nepal's International Art Festival on the Status of Women (2009). She was awarded the International Creation Grant from La Rectoria Center in Barcelona, Spain in 2009, the first to be awarded to an Arab artist. Nimri lives and works in Amman.
