Last December, Nabad participated in the Sunny Art Fair, the first art fair to take place in Jordan. Nabad's space at the fair featured a large number of artists from the Arab world. The variety and quality of the artworks displayed demonstrated Nabad as a fine arts resource for public and private collectors, locally and regionally, placing it at the forefront of the art scene in Jordan.

The work of Ammar Khammash addresses spatial structure, both on the ground in the open landscape and in the painting itself. As nature builds spaces within folds in the land, reflected in rugged topography, and between the horizon and the sky, his works seek to understand nature and dwell on the issues of spatial perception. Khammash explores the human visual process and its evolution from a survival skill to the more inquisitive philosophical obsession of modern humans.

This exhibition of photographs at Nabad features a variety of themes explored by photographer Jan Kassay, including natural and architectural landscapes, people, and an intensely sensuous series of flower images which balance between abstraction and a state that she describes as "outside the realm of reality." In conjunction with the exhibition, Nabad is organizing a roundtable discussion during which Kassay will address the topics of the creative process, composition, the history of photography and methods for developing a portfolio.

A solo exhibition by renowned Jordanian painter Fuad Mimi opens at Nabad on Wednesday 15 April 2009. Entitled "The Art of Fuad Mimi: A Retrospective Exhibition," this show is the artist's first solo in ten years and spans almost five decades of Mimi's oeuvre - from the early 1970s to the present. This exhibition is a unique opportunity to capture a sense of the sweep of Fuad Mimi's accomplishments over an extended period of his career.
