Omar Shahuan obtained a diploma from the Institute of Fine Arts in Amman in 1974. He then went on to earn a Diploma di Licenza (Laurea) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (1974-78). He also studied Technology and Art Design and Curriculum Development in the U.S.A. Shahuan has been teaching art for over 25 years. As a painter, he has held 20 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows at home and abroad. He lives and works in Amman.
