The seventh edition of Nabad’s annual series of design exhibitions, “Trendsetting,” will be held during Amman Design Week. “Trendsetting VII” brings together seven established designers who work across various artistic disciplines to create limited-edition functional and decorative pieces designed specifically for the show.
Nabad's Summer Show 2016 features a wide range of works by a large number of artists from Jordan and the region, whose works are permanently available in the Nabad Store. This year's Summer Show presents artists exhibiting at Nabad for the first time, including Syrian artist Youssef Youssef, Sudanese artist Mahmoud Gahalla and Iraqi-Jordanian artist Zaina El Said.
“The experimental process of an artist is a journey of revelation and playfulness. At this moment I need a lack of seriousness, yet a committed attitude of exploration and a trust and acceptance of the end result. In an over-serious world where all the events are depicting doom, I choose to see lightness and brightness. One may call it an escape from reality … so be it! This work stands for itself and in itself.
In the framework of the 5th Edition of the IMAGE FESTIVAL AMMAN, Nabad is pleased to host SYRIA’S LOST GENERATION, an exhibition of images by National Geographic photographer ED KASHI.
Ed Kashi will present a talk about his work at the opening reception.
