Islamic Architecture in Medieval India
with special reference to monuments in New Delhi

A lecture entitled, "Islamic Architecture in Medieval India," was presented by Dr. Nuzhat Kazmi, Founding Head and Associate Professor at the Department of Art History and Art Appreciation at Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, India. She is an alumnus of Allahabad University, Delhi University, M. S. University (Baroda) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and a Commonwealth Scholar (1990-93). Dr. Kazmi is an art critic, contributing to leading Indian art journals and magazines, with special interest in Medieval art and the art of the Arab world. Dr. Nuzhat Kazmi also presented and signed copies of her book, Islamic Art: The Past and Modern (Roli Books, 2009).
