A solo exhibition of works by prolific Syrian painter and sculptor, Fadi Yazigi, opens at Nabad on 18 April. Yazigi depicts people and human emotions with touching intensity. "My works are a nostalgic chronicle of relationships;" says the artist, "the source of my stimulation is all that surrounds me, and all those who have left an indelible mark on my life." Born in 1966 in Latakia, Syria, Yazigi studied sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus in 1988. He has held numerous exhibitions in the Middle East, Europe and the U.S.A. His works have been showcased in a number of international fairs, including ArtParis, Hong Kong International Fair, and Art Dubai. He lives and works in Damascus.
