Nabad presents an exhibition of ceramic works and limited-edition prints by one of the Arab world's foremost ceramists, prize-winning Jordanian artist Mahmoud Taha. Over the past four decades, Taha has been focusing on Jerusalem, and depicting the dire conditions of the Palestinian people. Through his calligraphic skills, he continues to highlight the rich legacy of the Islamic civilization. Born in Yazur, Yafa in Palestine in 1942, Mahmoud Taha obtained his BFA, specializing in ceramics, from the Baghdad Academy of Fine Arts in 1968, and studied Arabic calligraphy with the late Hashem al-Khattat for six years. In 1975, he obtained a graduate degree from the Cardiff College of Arts in Wales. Since 1968, Taha has been exhibiting extensively, locally, regionally and internationally. He lives and works in Amman.
